SPH H445/645 Travel Study is a 3-credit-hour course offered in the summer by the Department of Applied Health, School of Public Health, Indiana University- Bloomington. This course is designed to provide an opportunity for understanding the public health/healthcare systems, main health challenges, and Asian cultures in China, Hong Kong, Macao, or Thailand. The course involves an overseas field study trip. Students will learn from instructors of the class, professors at major universities, and directors of the agencies who will be invited to lecture on related topics. Students will also have a chance to discuss and share their opinions as well as to interact with local students. A required paper will be due two weeks after students come back to the USA. English language will be used throughout the course.
